About MyCarePrice
MyCarePrice is a price information site for common outpatient procedures. We publish the verified Medicare anchor for a procedure and explain, in plain billing language, how the facility type changes the bill, so you can ask a complete price question before service. Prices only. That limit is deliberate, and it is stated on every page.
Who publishes this site
This site is published by MyCarePrice. Contact: hello@mycareprice.com. We do not name a person as author or owner on this site. Procedure and guide pages are published in the editorial voice of MyCarePrice.
What we publish
- Verified Medicare anchors from named CMS sources, with source name, year, and verification date on every page and in our checked-in data.
- Plain explanations of professional versus facility payment, Physician Fee Schedule versus OPPS, and why the same CPT code costs more in a hospital outpatient department than in an imaging center, ASC, or office.
- Billing questions and checklists that help patients get an all-in price in writing before service.
What we do not publish
- No diagnosis, treatment, or should-you-get-this-test content. Care decisions belong with you and your clinician.
- No invented self-pay prices. A self-pay range appears only where it can be verified from a public source under our method.
- No hospital list prices presented as patient prices. Chargemaster amounts are not what most patients pay.
- No facility quality ratings or recommendations about where you should go.
Editorial standards
Every dollar figure must trace to a named CMS or authoritative public source recorded in our data file with a verification date. If a figure cannot be verified, the page ships without it and says so. Medicare anchors are labeled as Medicare anchors, never blended into a self-pay range. Structured data matches visible content. Pages carry a last-verified date for their anchors and repeat the site rule: confirm your price in writing before service.
Content is written in plain language for the price conversation, the way you would talk with a billing office. We avoid hype and do not manufacture statistics, reviews, or testimonials.
Corrections policy
If you find an error in a CPT code, anchor figure, source citation, or explanation, email hello@mycareprice.com with the page URL and the correction. We verify corrections against the primary CMS source, fix confirmed errors, and note the verification date change on the page and in the data file. Material corrections are logged in the Methodology change notes.
Advertising
Ads are off at launch. The site carries an ads.txt file for future eligibility but does not load ad scripts or ad slots. If advertising is enabled later, it will not change how anchors are selected or calculated.
